Introducing the National Body Armor ballistic blanket at only .30" thinness. The ballistic blanket series of products offered by National Body Armor are intended to protect against high velocity fragmentation as well as NIJ level IIIA ballistic threats. Each individual barrier blanket is covered in 1000 denier nylon and 600 denier polyester for high abrasion resistance. This fabric is urethane back coated for fabric protection and water repellency.
BALLISTIC PANEL CONSTRUCTION
The standard ballistic panels are constructed of 100% Aramid fibers produced by Barrday Advanced Textile Solutions and must be constructed of a combination of UD and Woven Aramid.
BALLISTIC PANEL PERFORMANCE
Ballistic panels are tested in accordance with MIL-STD-662E using NIJ test rounds. The tests are performed on clay backing by an independent testing facility approved by the NIJ. The purpose of the test is to establish a “benchmark” V-50 and assure the quality of the combined ballistic materials.
BLANKET IDENTIFICATION LABELS:
All barrier blankets are labeled in accordance with NIJ standards. The label material are suitable to assure that the label itself shall withstand wear and/or laundering. The label will remain readable during the guaranteed life of the outer shell and ballistic panels.
LEVEL OF BALLISTIC PROTECTION:
Each blanket produced shall provide Type IIIA ballistic impact protection against both penetration and serious bodily injury as defined by NIJ Standards and Military testing for high velocity fragmentation.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM:
National Body Armor factory maintains a quality control system in accordance with ISO9001:2008 standards. This quality assurance program ensures appropriate levels of quality throughout all areas of performance. This also provides for the prevention and early detection of discrepancies and for timely and positive corrective action.
USE CASE:
Blankets have been used by the US Military, Law Enforcement and General Public to cover doors, windows, vehicles, people, and other property.
