Letter From the Founder

Dave Goldberg, Founder & CEO National Body Armor

Dear Fellow Americans,

On October 1, 2017, tragedy struck our nation as a mass shooting occurred at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. Over 1,000 rounds were fired, killing 60 people and wounding at least 413. The ensuing panic resulted in a total of 867 injuries. Like so many others, I was deeply affected by this horrific event. It was in that moment I realized I needed to take action and help protect my fellow Americans.

With over 25 years of experience as a Government contractor, providing goods and services to law enforcement, the federal government, and the military, I saw a gap in the market for high-quality, accessible, and certified bullet-resistant gear. This led to the creation of National Body Armor. We developed a line of NIJ Certified t-shirts and concealable gear designed for the general public, offering safety through innovative designs and advanced technologies. Up until then, the only body armor readily available to the public was mostly uncertified and manufactured overseas, which I knew had to change.

Since our inception, we have been dedicated to serving the brave men and women of law enforcement, federal agencies, and U.S. and Allied Armed Forces. Our products set the industry standard in protection, ensuring that anyone facing a threat has access to reliable, life-saving gear. In fact, over 100,000 people now wear our ballistic packages, trusting their safety to our rigorously tested and certified products.
