Responsible Sale of Body Armor
At National Body Armor, we believe in protecting law-abiding citizens while also acting as responsible corporate citizens. Although federal law does not require a background check or a waiting period to purchase ballistic protection, we maintain strict internal safety and compliance protocols to help ensure body armor is not obtained for unlawful or harmful purposes.
If you have a handgun or rifle threat we can protect you. You must be over the age of 18 to buy and not a convicted felon. There is no background check or holding period in the USA.
RED FLAG SCREENING & REPORTING
To protect the general public, law enforcement, and the integrity of our industry, National Body Armor reserves the right to flag, investigate, or cancel any order that presents concerns. Examples of red-flag indicators include, but are not limited to:
- Bizarre, aggressive, threatening, or erratic behavior during communication
- Contradictory, suspicious, or incomplete information provided at checkout
- Attempts to avoid identification, including fake names, burner emails, or proxy/shielded IP usage
- Statements suggesting criminal intent, misuse of armor, or preparation for unlawful activity
- Unusual order patterns, bulk purchases inconsistent with legitimate civilian, professional, or organizational use
- Any other abnormal or concerning behavior that reasonably raises questions about the intended use of the armor
Important: If any such indicators occur, your name, IP address, order details, communication history, and any other relevant information may be shared with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) or other appropriate federal, state, or local authorities.
NO BACKGROUND CHECK - BUT WE STILL VET FOR SAFETY
While body armor is legal for law-abiding U.S. citizens and no background check or permit is required, we take seriously our responsibility to prevent misuse.
We reserve the right to:
- Hold, investigate, or cancel any order
- Request additional information before shipment
- Decline service at our sole discretion
