Light is the minimum standard for law enforcement and the general public seeking bullet-resistant protection. It is designed to protect against small handgun rounds, up to and including .357 Magnum jacketed soft point.

Lighter IIIA & IIIA+ Special Threat Protection

Lighter falls between Light and Lightest, costing less than Lightest while weighing more than Light. The standard Level IIIA ballistic profile is specifically designed and tested to stop the vast majority of handgun rounds, including .44 Magnum and .357 SIG, which are among the most powerful handgun bullets.

Level IIIA also stops lower-velocity rounds such as 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP, providing protection against most handgun threats. Additionally, Level IIIA will stop most shotgun rounds.

Repairs & Alterations

For your safety, only the manufacturer is authorized to make repairs or alterations to your vest or any related equipment.
Any modifications or repairs made by anyone other than the manufacturer will void the warranty.

Carriers (T-Shirts, Hoodies & Vest Covers)

All carriers are designed for easy, everyday care.

  • Always remove ballistic panels and trauma plates before cleaning
  • Carriers can be washed with your regular clothes
  • Machine wash on gentle in warm water
  • Tumble dry on low
  • Close all fasteners before washing, when applicable

Ballistic Panels & Trauma Plates

Ballistic components require special care.

  • Ballistic panels and trauma plates must always be removed before washing any carrier
  • Never machine wash, soak, or submerge ballistic panels or trauma plates
  • Wipe panels down with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed
  • Allow panels to air dry completely before reinserting
  • Follow the care label on the ballistic panels for additional guidance

Storage

When not in use, store your armor flat, with ballistic panels removed when possible, in a cool, dry place.

What’s the difference between NIJ-compliant armor and non-compliant armor?

What does “NIJ rating” mean?

It’s the NIJ’s performance standard for body armor. Certified products undergo rigorous testing and ongoing inspections. If armor fails compliance, it’s subject to recall.
Does it hurt to get shot while wearing a vest?

Is body armor legal?

Yes, federally. However, New York and Connecticut require additional ID verification. Residents must provide proof of eligible profession as outlined by state regulations.
What is your warranty policy?

How long does a vest last?

Soft armor should be replaced every 5 years, which is the industry standard life cycle.
How should I clean my armor?
  • Carriers: Machine-washable.
  • Ballistic panels: Wipe with soapy water and air-dry. Never machine wash, submerge, or expose panels to extreme heat or water.
How should I store my vest?

Lay flat in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding or storing upright for long periods.
Can I alter my vest?
